If you can perform on such a large stage as the 538 King’s Day party, you will ensure that your preparations are in perfect shape. Douwe Bob also spent a lot of time on his performance on that stage, but yesterday he could not perform there at the most expected moment due to technical problems. So he had to go home unimportantly.

Relaxed

Douwe was initially still very enthusiastic. Prior to the performance that was canceled, he spoke very cheerfully with Shownieuws reporter Thom Goderie. “It will be a party man. Yes, the mood is good again.”

He continues in the show section: “I am relaxed. I just participated with Nielson in Dordrecht. It will come here too. Then we will do a few moppies and then I go home.”

Tension

Moments later, Douwe’s state of mind quickly turns, because once backstage you can cut the tension. There he is told that his performance cannot take place because of faltering technology.

Presenter Airen Mylene, who knows nothing about it, is going backstage with a camera at that moment with a camera to report live for Radio 538. She storms on Douwe: “Let’s see who is there. Douwe Bob! Hello, yes, sorry!”

Pissed

Douwe turns out to be very pissed off because of the bad news and sends Airen away immediately. “Really not for a moment! Sorry!”

Airen: “He really just arrives, so we can’t just bother everyone.”

Show expert Bart Ettekoven in the Studio of Shownieuws: “You have your whole day off, then you will drive to Breda early in the morning, you have all the preparations and then it just does not do it very sour. And then those airen steps very happy at him! He had just heard that it really did not work out at the moment!”

Operation

How could this have gone wrong? “There were some technical things. Of course it is such a huge operation guys. We can’t imagine anything about it. With sound and all those artists who come with their own microphone and their own band.”

“At Miss Montreal it threatened to go wrong, but in the end he was on that stage, albeit half an hour later, but she could go home satisfied. But for Douwe Bob it is sour.”
