The Douglas perfumery chain has grown again in the third business quarter. In the three months at the end of June, sales increased by 3.2 percent to one billion euros, as the company announced on Thursday in Düsseldorf. The proceeds had dropped in the previous quarter. Douglas now benefited from a later Easter business. All segments increased, the exception was France, where consumer retention continued.

The result before interest, taxes and depreciation (EBITDA) improved by 1.4 percent in the third business quarter to 154.6 million euros. Adjusted for special effects, on the other hand, it was almost three percent. The bottom line was that Douglas earned 17.3 million euros. In the previous year there was still a loss of 71.6 million euros. Lower interest payments were positive as a result of refinancing.

The result forecast confirmed Douglas. However, the perfumery chain for sales became a little more optimistic and now expects revenues of just over 4.5 billion euros. So far, the company had targeted around 4.5 billion euros. With the years in December, Douglas also plans to publish new medium -term goals.
