Douglas hires new digital boss from Tchibo

The perfumery chain Douglas Group appoints Philipp Andrée as Chief Digital Officer (CDO).

Andrée will take up his new position as a member of the board of directors in January, Douglas announced on Wednesday. He takes over for Vanessa Stützle. She left the company at the end of August to take over the management of the lamp supplier Luqom Group.

Andrée is currently Managing Director for the Digital and Marketing departments at Tchibo. He has been with the Hamburg retail group for more than seven years and has held various management positions in the areas of e-commerce, digital and marketing. Before that, he built up the online fashion retailer Department47 as managing director. He started his career at the management consultancy McKinsey.

“We are very much looking forward to working with Philipp Andrée on the Douglas management team in the future,” said Sander van der Laan, CEO of the DOUGLAS Group. Douglas has achieved tremendous growth in the digital business in recent years. We want to maintain and expand this course.”

Van der Laan is also new to the company. He took over the management on Tuesday after it became known in mid-October that Douglas boss Tina Müller was moving to the supervisory board.
