Doubling the N34 between Emmen and De Punt too expensive. Half of the plan to make the road safer falls

The original plan was to double the road section over a length of 12 kilometers. That will be 6 kilometers. However, the province is sticking to the plan to make the traffic junction at Gieten grade-separated. Globally, 3 kilometers north of the interchange would be doubled and 3 kilometers south of it.
