At the World Athletics World Cup, superstar Jakob has been sensationally excreted early. However, there is a prehistory for his performance.
The two-time Olympic champion Jakob Ingigtsen was surprisingly early at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo. Five days before his 25th birthday, the Norwegian had to bury the hopes for a medal in the 1,500-meter lead.
In his run in 3: 37.84 minutes, initials only took eighth place – too little for moving into the next round. The Norwegian had previously had no races in the outdoor season. The reason for this was an injury to the Achilles tendon.
Also away from the career was recently always the topic in the headlines. In Norway, a trial against his father Gjert caused a sensation. The long -time coach of his sons was largely acquitted – however, an accusation led to a conviction.
For example, the seven-fold father was sentenced to a probation penalty of 15 days because of a deliberate blow in the face of his then 15-year-old daughter. He also has to pay compensation of around 870 euros.
The 59-year-old was acquitted of further accusations, including due to alleged violence against Jakob. The incident had led to a break within the family. In court, it was also about allegations of mental and physical violence against Jakob and his 19-year-old sister. Gjert Ingigtsen denied all allegations.
