Dortmund wins with scoring Malen of 1860 Munich in German Cup

Borussia Dortmund started the new German football season with a victory over 1860 Munich in the German Cup tournament. Thanks in part to the opening goal of Donyell Malen, the German top club won 3-0.

Malen opened the scoring in the eighth minute at 1860 Munich, a third-tier club in Germany. The Dutch international shook off his guard on the left and fired into the short corner. The ball went in through the inside of the post twice. Jude Bellingham made it 2-0 after half an hour. New addition Karim Adeyemi scored the third goal four minutes later. Malen was also involved in those two goals.

Earlier in the evening, VfB Stuttgart also qualified for the second round of the DFB Pokal. Stuttgart won 1-0 at Dynamo Dresden with a goal from Darko Churlinov.
