Don’t Worry Darling: Harry Styles Releases Creepy Movie Song Starring Florence Pugh

The psychological thriller “Don’t Worry Darling” has been in cinemas since September 22nd. Now leading actor Harry Styles has released the song “With You All The Time” together with his co-actress Florence Pugh, which appears as a “trigger song” in the film.

First demo after five minutes

Alice, played by Florence Pugh, hums the track to herself on “Don’t Worry Darling.” Director Olivia Wilde said in an interview for Variety that it took Styles just five minutes to write the song: “In preparation, Harry called me and said, ‘What’s the trigger song? What’s the tune?’. I said, ‘I don’t know. I go to different songwriters to have him write. Do you have something in mind?’ And he said, ‘I’ll think about it,'” Wilde said.

Shortly thereafter, she received the first draft. She went on to explain, “Five minutes later he sent me a demo of his piano and that’s what went into the film. He called me and said, ‘How about this?’ And I said, ‘Yes, it is. That’s it. And that’s really crazy that you did that in five minutes'”.

From children’s song to psycho song

Styles later said in a conversation with Variety that he wanted to produce something “spooky”: “I wanted to do something that could be both cute and spooky, depending on the context. I remember playing it on the piano first, and it was sort of a homemade nursery rhyme. Applied to the different moments in the film, I think it takes on a few different lives – I hope.”

Recently, “Don’t Worry Darling” made headlines due to an incident at this year’s Venice International Film Festival: Styles is said to have spit on the hands of his colleague Chris Pine. Wilde now commented on the US TV show “The Late Show” about her partner’s spitting attack. She denied the allegation and said clearly: “No, he didn’t. But I think it’s a perfect example of people looking for drama wherever they can. Harry didn’t spit at Chris.”
