Donny Roelvink was seriously injured in hospital yesterday, after he was hit by a car while recording a video in Hilversum. The reality star tells this herself via Instagram.
“It went very quickly,” says Roelvink. “I only remember that I felt a blow. A few minutes later I woke up in an ambulance.”
The Telegraph knows to report that Roelvink was hit by a Hummer that was driven by a friend of his. “He and some friends had come up with the plan to imitate a movie of their great idol, bodybuilder Ronnie Coleman,” says father Dries to the newspaper. The video shows Coleman performing a heavy fitness exercise on the street.
‘Fortunately not worse’
In Roelvink’s case it went completely wrong: he says he is lucky to be able to tell the story. “Amazingly, I was not in mortal danger. Of course this looks very intense. But fortunately, except for a few broken ribs and a small collapsed lung, it has not become worse than that.”
“I was very shocked,” Roelvink continues. “I did not expect that something so small could have been so fatal. Yesterday I was having a barbecue with friends in the garden. And the next day you are lying here. That will give you that reality check of: hey, it could be so ready† The danger is just around the corner. This really affected me mentally.”

But physically it could have turned out worse: “I just wanted to let you know that I am doing well despite everything. In this way I also want to convey the message that you should enjoy every moment in life. sit in a small corner.”
