Donald Trump’s Truth Social app won’t make it to the Google Play app store

of the former President of the United States, Donald Trump’s social media platform Truth Social is not welcome on the Google Play app store. According to Google, the application violates the code regarding the prohibition of content related to physical threats and incitement to violence.

Google’s decision makes downloading the app significantly more challenging for Android users. CEO of Truth Social, Republican politician Devin Nunes has previously described Google as maintaining a monopoly position.

Google’s communication was commented on to the person who reported the case for the BBC. Google says it notified Truth Social of several policy violations on August 19.

– Effective moderation systems for user-oriented content are a condition of our terms of use that every application published on Google Play must fulfill, Google said.

Google also said it offered Truth Social advice on how to fix the problems.

Trump founded the Truth Social platform after Facebook and Twitter banned him from their services after the Capitol riots.

According to the BBC, critics have claimed that Truth Social has problems with disinformation and hate speech. The application can be found in Apple’s App Store.
