Hollywood star Emma Thompson shared a surprising revelation of her past.
66-year-old Thompson announced a case from the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland. This was reported by, among other things, the British The Telegraph.
According to a British actor, businessman Donald Trump called him in the late 90s. According to Thompson, the phone rang exactly the same day that Thompson’s divorce came into force.
– He said, “Hey, here is Donald Trump.” I thought it was a joke and asked, “How can I be helpful?” Thompson describes.
– He went on, “It would be wonderful if you came to visit one of my beautiful places. Maybe we could eat dinner.” I replied, “That’s kind. Thanks a lot. I will contact you.”
According to The Telegraph, Trump had just divorced his other wife, Marla Maples at the same time.

Thompson said at the festival that he believes he knows the cause at the time of playing.
“I realized that that day my divorce had come into force,” Thompson said.
– And I bet that he has people who are looking for a person who suits him. Such a nice divorced woman, you know.
Thompson was enthusiastic about joking about what the world could have been if he had decided to go out for dinner.
– I could have gone to a date with Donald Trump, and then I would have the story to tell. I could have changed the direction of America’s history, Thompson joked.
Thompson and his current husband, Greg Wise, have been married since 2003, says People.
