Dolce & Gabbana in Venice: star parade for the event fashion show

After the storm of the last Haute Couture show that hit Venice last year, everything at the Dolce & Gabbana show in Sicily went smoothly: apart from fainting sudden on the catwalk (due to the heat) of Deva Cassel, daughter of Monicà. One of 106 models who brought the Maison’s savoir-faire to the catwalk.

That mix of sacred and profane, iconic

For High Fashion Dolce & Gabbana Fall Winter 2022/2023 the main inspiration comes from Saint Luciapatron saint of Syracuse, with a parade that has turned into a real one procession: prayers dressed in total black and veils – in the collective imagination Sicilian women dress in black – angels of feathers and lace in white, but also models in tight sheath dresses or bustier tops combined with suspenders or opulent dresses that look like bouquets, in that mix of sacred and profane which has always been the brand’s signature.

Unmissable, the colors of Sicily and the 3d decorations, in addition to the intricate embroidery. The highest point, precisely the tribute to the saint: a gold and silver dress which recalls the image of the simulacrum and comes to life on the catwalk.
