A dog has not become well after eating some human poo in the middle of a path at the Warande in Helmond. Research shows that the poop contained cocaine and THC.
A few hours after the dog ate some of that feces, the owner saw that something was very wrong with the animal. “He was no longer enthusiastic about anything, just wanted to lie down, was passive and reacted lukewarm.”
‘This combination can be deadly’
“The animal walked as if it was drunk and looked strange,” the owner told Veterinary Clinic Lieshout on Thursday. “The dog sat up straight with such a wobbly head.”
The dog has since been treated. The owner called on the Veterinary Clinic to warn other dog owners. “A combination of THC and cocaine can kill dogs!”
“This makes you sad…”
On Facebook people empathize en masse with the animal and its owner. “Hopefully the dog will come out on top”, Angela fingers crossed. “So sad that an animal is the victim.” Diana also hopes that the poor man will recover quickly. “This makes you sad…”, sighs Desiree.
Janne calls what happened ‘too bad for words’. “May people clean up their shit!”
