Does she appeal?

The pictures that went around the world after the verdict in the trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard could not be more different. Here the (for the time being) victorious Johnny Depp, who hisses a freshly pumped ale with his musician buddies around guitar legend Jeff Beck in a pub in Newcastle, northern England. In the courtroom in Fairfax/Virginia, on the other hand, a petrified Heard, in a black dress to match the atmosphere.

US media are now reporting unanimously that Amber Heard will appeal the verdict for a variety of reasons. Rather MUST contest in order to be able to continue the rest of her career without the penalty of a “lying witch”.

“I think it’s almost inevitable that Amber Heard will have to appeal this verdict,” British attorney Mark Stephens told Australian news outlet ABC. Not only he sees “legal errors” in the process in Fairfax.

The usually well-informed US trade journal “Entertainment Weekly” claims to have learned more about this. “The Aquaman star plans to appeal the verdict in her ex-husband’s defamation lawsuit.”

Amber Heard ends her statement with a bitter Suada, while in the background a possible new edition is already being worked on feverishly. “I am sad that I lost this case. But I’m even sadder that I seem to have lost a right I thought I had as an American: to speak freely and openly.”

In the comment line, a person named Grumpy Highlander writes: “If I were her, I would just let it go. Life goes on. She presented herself poorly underground. Almost all of the evidence presented tended to support Depp’s claim that she was the perpetrator. I’ve read too many things on the internet about this being a setback for women. Instead, it is just a setback for those who want to twist the truth and lie outright!”

An opinion that is not only shared by many in the USA. This is not the only reason why Heard’s legal team is faced with a Herculean task. The lawyers now have to suck enough nectar from the reasoning behind the judgment that a reopening appears plausible and, above all, “winnable”. Not to mention the new costs of this marathon, which Heard will have to face first.
