have Depeche Mode set up a countdown on their website, which ends at 6 p.m. on February 3. Below is a contact form. There are no indications as to what the time display stands for – it is probably related to the album “Memento Mori” announced by Depeche Mode. Perhaps the pre-single “Ghosts Again” will be announced. “A premiere of the music video is considered likely,” writes the German fan page depechemode.de about the mysterious countdown.

Also interesting: All previous posts on the synth-pop band’s Instagram account have been deleted. It looks like there’s going to be a big announcement coming up that will make room for it.

“Ghosts Again” has been causing a stir for some time – excerpts of the remix by British DJ duo CamelPhat recently surfaced on the internet. For a short time longer passages were available on YouTube. CamelPhat previously played the mix live at a Toronto festival, where viewers filmed and shared the song.

Dave Gahan and Martin Gore already presented an excerpt of the title at a press conference in October 2022. It has not yet been officially confirmed whether the song will actually be called “Ghosts Again”. A tracklist of “Memento Mori” has not yet been released.

Depeche Mode announced their new record for March 2023. There is no exact release date yet. It is the band’s first album as a duo – founding member Andy Fletcher passed away on May 26, 2022.
