Doctors slowed down Johnny Depp

The Hollywood Vampires announced on Instagram on May 29 that they would have to postpone their upcoming concerts in the United States. The reason given by the band, which consists of Alice Cooper, Joe Perry and Johnny Depp, was an injury to the latter.

The 59-year-old actor and musician shared an Instagram Story the same day detailing his injury. What started as a small fracture got worse “somewhere between Cannes and the Royal Albert Hall,” Depp wrote in his story. Several doctors have urged me to refrain from any activity, which is why I am unfortunately unable to travel at the moment.”

The band formed in 2012, the self-titled debut was released in 2015. The current record “Rise” was released by Depp, Cooper and Perry in 2019.

Johnny Depp’s comeback

In Cannes, Depp was promoting his new film, Jeanne du Barry, in which he portrayed Louis XV. embodied. It’s his first starring role after a three-year hiatus following the defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife Amber Heard. On May 22, Johnny Depp stood on the stage of the Royal Albert Hall with a number of rock stars to play a tribute concert to Jeff Beck, who died in January. The two musicians will release their joint album 18 in 2022.
