When HBO Max was released in Finland, it was possible to obtain it with a 50 % discount, which would last for as long as the order is valid. Now there are changes in order forms.

HBO Max became Max in May last year. In the past, there was only one form of order in the streaming service, but Max has three forms – or basically four.
In addition to the order format, ads are available for an advertising standard order and a premium subscription. In addition, HBO Max’s lifetime subscribers using a 50 % discount have a customized order that could not be ordered separately after Max’s release.
Now Max is informing its customers that that latest order format will be removed. However, a lifelong discount is not about to go away.
In his customer bulletin, Max states that on the day of the order renewal, the HBO Max subscription will change. HBO MAX orders can look at three devices at the same time and there is no restriction on technical quality. There is a Dolby Atmos space sound, HDR and 4K resolution.
Max reports that HBO Max subscriptions will become MAX Standard subscriptions. Without action and cancellation in a user account, you can look at two devices at the same time and the quality is limited to the SDR and the maximum Full HD resolution.
Changes do not affect a lifetime reduction of 50 %. The subscriber will continue to receive the service at a discount. Currently, a standard subscription costs € 10 per month, meaning that the bid will cost five euros per month for the service.
Without any action, the HBO Max subscription will become a more modest Max Standard order.
Premium order for half price
However, if the subscriber does not want to give up the best technical quality, it is possible for him or her to change his order from HBO MAX to a premium order instead of a standard order. This is still subject to a lifetime 50 % discount.
Currently, a premium subscription costs € 14 per month and after the discount seven euros per month.

After switching to a premium subscription, a 50 % discount can only be obtained from the Premium subscription. If a use person switches to a standard or basic order format, a lifetime discount will end.
A 50 % discount is only available for users who have subscribed to the end of 2021 when HBO Max became available and have continued the order ever since.
