The Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom’s Cybervascular Center warns of scam calls made in its name.

In recent weeks, the authority says it has received “a few” reports of calls that the caller has appeared as a representative of the Cyber ​​Security Center.

The purpose of the calls has been to fish for the victims’ bank information. For example, the caller has claimed that money has been taken from the recipient’s account.

– Traficom, other authorities or banks never ask for bank information or other sensitive information by telephone or email, the Cyber ​​Security Center underlines in its announcement.

It also reminded in its announcement of the Code of Conduct When a strange call came:

  1. Don’t give your information to the caller.
  2. Take the name of the caller and the agency or other party he represented.
  3. Stop call.
  4. Call the customer service and ask to connect to the person who called you.
