“Disturbing”: Verlinden responds to grim letter from investigating judge, who warns that we are evolving into a “narco state”

An Antwerp investigating judge warned in a fierce open letter on Monday that we are evolving into a narco-state and that a strong, organized threat is undermining our institutions. The investigating judge, who had to go into hiding in a safe house for several months, advocates a “master plan” so that the justice system can work safely in our country. Minister of Justice Annelies Verlinden (CD&V) calls the threats “serious and disturbing” and lists a number of measures. The question is whether they can mean anything quickly.
