Dirk Zeelenberg fears for the mental condition of his complainant Jet van der G. His lawyer therefore does not want to go too hard against her. “We don’t want her to end it.”

Successful wedding registrar Dirk Zeelenberg, known from the Linda de Mol series Divorce, is accused of sexual assault by one of his clients. In a long telephone interview with RoddelPraat, she announced that she had reported sexual assault. This is said to have taken place in the back seat of his car.

Threatened with death

Dirk denies it and the Story points out that this Jet is also not without controversy. “She herself came into disrepute in 2016 after she allegedly threatened death in a text message via the telephone of her then partner, the Belgian national coach Marc Wilmots. Jet is also said to have been guilty of stalking Marc.”

So now she is after Dirk. He denies everything. “Dirk did not assault this woman. He emphatically denies that,” his lawyer Arjen Paardekooper told Story.

Jumbo employee

The reason Dirk and Jet had contact is because she wanted him to speak at her parents’ 50th wedding anniversary. “They made an appointment for this, and then kissed in the backseat of the car. Then she sent Dirk an extensive app saying that she found it all so nice and fun.”

The lawyer previously shared that app from Jet with RoddelPraat. At one point Dirk blocked her because it became too much for him. “She then started sending messages via other digital channels and under aliases, also pretending to be a Jumbo employee: whether Dirk would like to become the voice of the supermarket.”

Slander and stalking

Dirk has now also filed a report. “We have now filed a complaint for defamation and stalking against this woman. She will be held personally liable for any damage, and we urge her to stop spreading lies and stop the stalking.”

Still, he doesn’t want to go too far. “This woman is unstable. It should not be the case that if we go all out, this woman will end her life. Dirk doesn’t want that either.”

What does Jet say?

Jet has also been approached by the Story. She stands by her statements. “I have also hired a lawyer, let them come. It will take forever before more clarity comes.”

Who is that lawyer then? “I’m not going to tell you who my lawyer is, my lawyer doesn’t need that. Why is that unbelievable? Dirk should have just been honest, he wasn’t. Then he can get it now! (…) I also emailed him: You’re going to feel this. Now he feels it too, his own fault.”
