Dirk Kuyt deeper into the concerns at ADO Den Haag, PEC Zwolle and FC Eindhoven together in the lead | Dutch football

with videoConcerns are increasing for Dirk Kuyt. ADO Den Haag did not get further than a hard-fought draw against Jong AZ in front of its own audience tonight: 2-2.

Joël Zwarts made the 1-0 for ADO Den Haag from the rebound tonight after half an hour of play, but Kuyt’s team was unable to increase the lead in front of its own audience in the Bingoal Stadium. Soulaïman Allouch made the equalizer ten minutes after the break on behalf of the talents of AZ. The problems increased for ADO Den Haag when Jordy Wehrmann was shown red in the 72nd minute for a hard foul in midfield.

The fear that everyone at ADO already had then came true in the 83rd minute, when Zico Buurmeester made the 1-2 on behalf of Jong AZ. With that, ADO seemed well on its way to their fifth defeat in six games, but in the 90th minute Amar Ćatić made it 2-2. He hit the rebound after Mario Bilate’s shot was turned by goalkeeper Rome Jayden Owusu-Oduro of Jong AZ. The 18-year-old keeper prevented ADO Den Haag from winning in the 93rd minute by cleverly taking a shot from striker Thomas Verheydt.

ADO is now seventeenth in the Kitchen Champion Division with only four points after six games. On Monday evening, ADO will play again against a promise team, then away at Jong FC Utrecht. Next Friday, Kuyt’s team will visit leader PEC Zwolle, which is already on 16 points.

PEC Zwolle and FC Eindhoven together in the lead

The match between the relegated PEC Zwolle and Willem II ended in 2-2. PEC Zwolle, together with FC Eindhoven, leads with 16 points after six matches. FC Eindhoven won 5-0 against MVV Maastricht. Heracles Almelo and Jong AZ are three points below the shared leaders. Heracles won 5-3 against VVV-Venlo tonight.

Willem II was already ahead 0-2 within fifteen minutes by goals from Max Svensson and Lucas Woudenberg. For a long time nothing seemed wrong for the Tilburgers, but in the last five minutes of the first half Kevin Hofland’s team collapsed considerably. First there was a red card for defender Erik Schouten after holding Apostolos Vellios, after which referee Danny Makkelie had no choice but to draw a red card.

Less than a minute later, Makkelie also gave a justified penalty, after Daniel Crowley clearly got the ball against his arm from the free kick. The penalty was used by Lennart Thy, after which Tomislav Rkonjic also made the 2-2 before half time. Enough happened in the second half, but no more goals were scored in Zwolle.
