Dirk Declerck stops as CEO of the Ostend port. He held the position since April 2018. Under his policy, more than 800 extra jobs were created and the port had seven consecutive years of positive results. Declerck itself indicates that it is a conscious choice to pass on the torch:
“During my career, I always strived to take on a new challenge in Cycli of about seven years. That rhythm forces me to stay sharp and bring fresh energy. The port is ready for the next phase. I am very proud of that and want to thank everyone for the trust and the collaboration.”
