A motorist got off the road this morning on the N857 near Papenvoort. He shot over a curb, hit a bus stop and finally came to a halt in the bushes.
The man had just had a night shift as a security guard and indicated that he fell asleep while driving. Agents arrived on the spot to handle the accident.
The bus shelter must miss one of the glass walls due to the collision. The remains were scattered throughout the cycle path and part of the roadside.
