Director Julien Vrebos (75), best known for ‘Le Bal Masqué’ about the Gang of Nivelles, died on Friday after an illness. “Julien had the balls to make that film,” says actor Sven De Ridder. But apart from his work, he avoided all the attention, director Stijn Coninx knows. “You didn’t even see him at film festivals, he didn’t want to go through life as a BV.”
