A driver was arrested on Tuesday night on the Sterrenlaan in Veldhoven for driving under the influence of drugs. He also had no valid driver’s license in his pocket. The police have seized his delivery van.

Agents saw a delivery van on the Sterrenlaan at night. They decided to check the driver, but he said he could not show a driver’s license. They then searched the vehicle.

There was a grip bag with ‘presumably’ drugs in the delivery van. When agents wanted to search the driver, he could suddenly show a driver’s license. This turned out to have been declared invalid.

A saliva test showed that the man tested positively on amphetamine, methamphetamine (crystal meth) and opiates (morphine-like painkillers). He was arrested for driving under the influence and with an invalid driver’s license. His vehicle has been seized.
