T.tables set with precious silverware and fine china, dishes prepared by starred chefs and served by impeccable butlers? Not at Princess Anne’s house! At dinner at Anna’s, stingy princess

It seems, in fact, that those lucky enough to be invited to lunch or dinner at Gatcombe Park, the home of the 71-year-old princess in the countryside of central England, can only expect canned food. Anna’s “strong point” would be the meat pies in a can and heated in the oven of the Fray Bentos, his favorite brand; or the pork piethe traditional pork pies in a crust that can be purchased for a few pounds in British supermarkets.

Princess Anna’s secret in the kitchen? Frozen foods

Another favorite dish includes anything that can be defrosted quickly, served with a side of boiled potatoes, peas, or green beans. And finally? A penguin ice cream for a few cents, pulled out of a package always purchased at the supermarket. Anna herself has admitted in the past that she always tries to get rid of her guests as soon as possible, adding: “They can eat ice cream in the car”.
