The fire baptism of Thomas van Groningen as a substitute for Hélène Hendriks at the Oranjezomer is over, but his first episode is already being dismissed when a tough. “By Dilan Yesilgöz!”
The choice to immediately invite Dilan Yesilgöz as the main guest is a wrong thing about Thomas van Groningen, think TV critics Tina Nijkamp and Victor Vlam. A monologue from Dilan about VVD policy? That turned out to be just a little too much Buitenhof for many Oranjezomer viewers. They called in for the summer evening feeling, a drink talk and some ordinary humor.
“Dilan is boring!”
VVD leader Dilan is a boring guest, says Victor. “I had not invited Dilan Yesilgöz as a guest on the first evening. Maybe they did it because it feels familiar for Thomas as a political reporter. But this broadcast was too much an interview of the (free) Yesilgöz,” he writes down X.
A follower then says: “She only turns the VVD plate off for the rest, little comes out.”
Victor then: “Exactly. The best politicians at VI and the Oranjezomer are the one who can join in the conversation.”
Less on safe
Why is Dilan always so boring on television? Always the same tune, zero spontaneity. How is that possible? “She has to play a little less on safe,” said Victor. “She’s too calculating.”
Also in terms of content, the VVD forefront was not very strong, says Victor. For example, she was not able to give a clear answer to the question of the difference of her party with Ja21. “This was painful. How is it possible that you cannot explain what the difference is between you and one of your biggest competitors?”
Too much Buitenhof
Tina is not enthusiastic either. She writes on her analysis canal: “Thomas already asked Noa:” Isn’t this too much Buitenhof? ” Yes, it looks too much on a café Kockelmann broadcast. “
She continues: “By Dilan difficult to talk about other topics. Far too many minutes of broadcasting time for her. I wander. I notice. Political inside tonight, little variety. Too bad.”
And Thomas?
Finally, how do the critics think that Thomas is doing? Tina: “Ehhh Thomas, a little more active attitude would be better, dropped a little too much,” she writes. “And for the direction: why do you forget to switch Thomas ???? He is hardly in the picture. Technical problem? Or is Thomas deliberately not switched?”
And Victor: “Great debut by Thomas van Groningen. The dynamics at the table are better. (…) What Thomas should pay attention to is that he is not too busy. Sometimes it seems as if he has hit 10 cans Red Bull. A little more peace makes the program better to watch.”
