“We are very pleased to be starting the test phase of the Digital Learning Campus Lübeck learning location from July 16, 2024 and to be able to offer children from Lübeck schools, students, company employees and anyone interested exciting future technologies to touch and try out: the robot Arm and the 360° science dome at the TH Lübeck, digital experiments at the Lübeck University of Music and educational offerings with VR glasses UKSH Academy and the Open Channel. “In the course of 2024, our educational offerings in the TRANSITION HOUSE will be expanded and also offered at other learning locations in Lübeck and Bad Oldesloe in order to enable as many people as possible to have different learning experiences,” reports Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jochen Abke, Vice President for Studies and Digitalization at the Lübeck University of Technology and network coordinator of the Digital Learning Campus Lübeck learning location.

Educational scientist Juleka Schulte-Ostermann, project manager of the Digital Learning Campus Lübeck from the Lübeck University of Technology, adds: “With the Digital Learning Campus Lübeck, we are taking the opportunity to test a modern, future-oriented educational center in the TRANSITION HOUSE in the middle of the city, which will later be used in the mixed-use concept together with schools. The aim of the Digital Learning Campus learning location is also to network between the universities, schools, companies and associations in the region and the people of Lübeck. More than 30 associated partners from the city, industry and associations support the project in Lübeck.”

The Digital Learning Campus is an innovative project in Schleswig-Holstein that includes a digital learning and collaboration platform – the so-called Digital Learning Campus Hub – as well as numerous future physical learning and collaboration locations at four university locations in Schleswig-Holstein. These places will be networked via the Digital Learning Campus Hub platform. The Digital Learning Campus is a funding measure in the state economic program with a total volume of around 38 million euros, which is supported by funding from the ERDF fund (European Regional Development Fund) and the state of Schleswig-Holstein.
