Diederik Jekel has been on display for several weeks with the TV program Jekels Jacht on NPO 2, in which he repeats important experiments from scientific history. Yesterday the presenter was on some boat messing around with a medieval timepiece that you can use at sea. He really didn’t care at all.

Diederik says sorry

Diederik became so frustrated that he urged the cameraman to walk out of his aura for a while. “I should have practiced this too!!!” he grumbled. And not much later: “G*dverd*mme!”

The viewer was completely shocked at home by the scolding Diederik. He therefore goes deep into the dust on Twitter. “For those who just watched Jekels Jacht, excuse my stupid curse. Was unnecessary, not my style and slipped my mind after a long day of shooting.”

Understanding responses

Diederik’s apologies are accepted, according to the comments under his post. “Thank you for apologizing, there is way too much swearing these days. And a curse doesn’t happen “accidentally.” Swearing is a choice, because if you really don’t want to, it’s not even in your vocabulary!” says Mariëlle.

One Bert on it: “First world problems”

Diederik: “We live ‘in it’, so that doesn’t mean much. ? It’s more about making sure I don’t hurt people unnecessarily. And faith is pre-eminently something that occurs in all economic scenarios, I think. Small effort for me to take that into account, right? †

nothing with God

Sootje also understands Diederik: “Haha, I noticed but my son said: ‘Scientists have nothing to do with God, of course.’ And I thought that sounded logical.”

René: “Indeed, it doesn’t fit with the guy and TV maker of your class. What does fit your class is this tweet with a short apology and explanation. Finished. Top notch!”

Diederik: “You are right and it is sometimes pointed out to me, but I still make mistakes like that sometimes in the speed. thanks. I’ll keep an eye out for it again!”
