Director, screenwriter, actor, People’s Artist of Russia Viktor Merezhko died, he was 84 years old. About it TASS reported in the Union of Cinematographers.

Merezhko wrote scripts for 50 films and 12 cartoons. Among them are “Relatives”, “Flights in a dream and in reality”, “A lonely woman wants to meet”, “The Frog Princess” and others.

Merezhko is the director of the serial film “Sonka – the Golden Pen”, in which he played one of the roles.

In addition to screenplays, he wrote plays that were staged in Soviet theaters: “The Proletarian Mill of Happiness”, “Night Fun”, “Scream”, “Men on Weekends”.

Victor Merezhko was born on July 28, 1937 on the Olginfeld farm in the Rostov region (now the village of Yuzhny). In 1961 he graduated from the Ukrainian Polygraphic Institute in Lvov, and in 1968 from the screenwriting department of VGIK.
