Prince Harry visited Stephen Colbert The Late Show program this week. the BBC according to the Duke of Sussex may have referred to US President Donald Trump during the skit seen on the show.
In the sketch, Harry pretended to be auditioning for the role of a “Christmas prince” in a romantic Hallmark Channel Christmas movie.
Harry appeared in the middle of the broadcast behind Colbert and joked that he was lost while looking for A Gingerbread Prince Saves Nebraska Christmas. Colbert asked Harry why he wanted to star in the movie.
Harry replied that Americans love Christmas movies and royals. When Colbert refuted this, Harry responded with a line interpreted as a reference to Trump.
– Really? I heard you chose the king, Harry joked.
According to the BBC, Harry’s sentence may refer to the protests organized around the United States in October. The demonstrations were held under the theme “No kings”. the BBC for example, the demonstrators carried signs with slogans such as “democracy, not monarchy”.
Harry also joked in the sketch by referring to the legal dispute between the CBS television channel that shows Colbert’s program and Donald Trump.
