Kathryn Arnold, an entertainment industry expert, testified that Amber Heard lost $45 million to $50 million in advertising, TV and film revenue. This is a result of Johnny Depp and his lawyers saying that Heard lied about the abuse allegations against Depp.

Millions lost by Johnny Depp?

Adam Waldman, an attorney for Depp, accused Heard of lying about the abuse in 2020. According to Arnold, this was the key to Heard later being excluded from various Hollywood projects. To represent the loss, Arnold compared the successes of other actors to Heard’s:

“When you consider the period during which Waldman’s testimony was made public and what happened to Ms. Heard’s career before and after that testimony, it becomes apparent that there is a connection. It’s safe to assume that her career would have followed the upward trajectory of these other performers had it not been for the cheating allegations,” Arnold said. The expert also referred to the “Aquaman” actors Chris Pine and Jason Momoa.

Johnny Depp’s lawyer: Comparison lags

Under cross-examination, Depp’s attorney, Wayne Dennison, contradicted this account, claiming that the actors mentioned were more famous than Heard. The damage to Heard’s career could also be attributed to negative press surrounding the 2020 UK defamation trial. In addition, Depp is not responsible for the negative reactions on social media.
