The German national handball team surprisingly lost the second preliminary round game at the European Championships. A real crime thriller developed against Serbia.
In a real handball thriller, the DHB team lost the second group game against Serbia 30:27. The German team repeatedly made simple mistakes and was denied by Serbia’s goalkeeper Dejan Milosavljev.
In the DHB goal, David Späth initially replaced Andreas Wolff, who had taken a ball to the head against Austria. Späth saved 35 percent of the opponent’s shots in the first half, after 40 minutes Wolff came into the game and was able to save a seven-meter shot shortly afterwards.
On offense, Juri Knorr scored five goals after only entering the game after 21 minutes in the first game. The best German goalscorer was Renars Uscins with six goals.
