DFB team: FC Bayern’s Thomas Müller draws level with Seeler after goals

With his 43rd international goal, Thomas Müller drew level with Uwe Seeler in the all-time top scorer list for the German national team. The 32-year-old FC Bayern Munich forward scored 1-0 for the DFB team in the friendly against the Netherlands in Amsterdam on Tuesday evening just before the break.

Müller is now tied with Seeler in seventh place, but has played a lot more games. The 85-year-old honorary captain scored his 43 goals in 72 international matches. Müller wore the national jersey for the 112th time against “Oranje”. The German record goalscorer is Miroslav Klose with 71 goals in 137 games.
