DFB star is missing from the national team because of Corona

Defender Robin Koch from the English Premier League club Leeds United did not travel to the national football team on Monday after a positive rapid corona test. This was announced by the German Football Association (DFB) in the evening.

It had previously become known that Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich (due to give birth to the third child) and Red Bull Salzburg attacker Karim Adeyemi are out with a thigh muscle injury. This means that national coach Hansi Flick initially only has 23 players available.

The first international match of the World Cup year takes place on Saturday (8:45 p.m. / ZDF) in Sinsheim, the opponent is Israel. Three days later, the first endurance test takes place in Amsterdam against the Netherlands.
