Penalty reduction for Darko Churlinov: The professional soccer player in the service of Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart only has to pay a fine of 17,500 euros instead of the originally ordered 25,000 euros for lighting a Bengali fire at the promotion party of his former club Schalke 04.
That was decided by the sports court of the German Football Association (DFB) on Wednesday.
Churlinov, on loan to Schalke from Stuttgart last season, held a Bengal fire in his hand amid the Schalke supporters at the promotion party after the game against FC St. Pauli.
Churlinov had appealed against the original judgment and has now achieved a partial success. The North Macedonian has approved the verdict, which is therefore final.
