DFB sports court meets – that’s what the VfL Osnabrück against Antwerp is about

A call is said to have got the stone rolling. Shortly before the final around the NFV Cup between VfL Osnabrück and Blau-Weiß Lohne in May, the phone of Lohnes attacker Bernd Rießelmann is said to have ringed. At the other end: a member of the Osnabrück coaching staff.

So far, backgrounds remain in the dark

Later there is talk of a call with unacceptable content. So Rießelmann’s consultant Markus Peter has it towards the new “Osnabrücker Zeitung“To put it. However, he does not want to comment on the exact content. Nor is it clear who was exactly in the management. His client immediately informed him and thus behaved correctly.

One thing is clear: striker Bernd Rießelmann was awarded by VfL Osnabrück to his final opponent BW Lohne. In the final on May 24th he was sitting on the bench until the 56th minute. After his substitution, Rießelmann scored 4-2 for Lohne – the final score.

Marco Antwerp and Frank Döpper, both of whom had been released at the end of May, have to answer to the DFB sports court. The focus is apparently a phone call.

Antwerp and Döpper receive termination without notice

So sporty everything seems to have approached right things. There are no doubt about the result of the final. At VfL, however, apparently in the integrity of Marco Antwerp and Frank Döpper. Not even a week after the lost final, the club put its coaching duo in front of the door – without notice. Those responsible did not provide a precise explanation.

Trainer team defends itself legally

Antwerp and Döpper do not want to accept their outsourcing. In the meantime, a duo’s dismissal protection lawsuit is running. A quality date at the Osnabrück Labor Court on Monday brought no result. It doesn’t even seem clear whether both had contracts beyond the past season. It should go on on December 12th.

At the same time, the procedure for the DFB runs. An attempted arbitration has already been unsuccessful. Now there is a hearing in Frankfurt. Antwerp and Döpper will be there personally, her advisor has announced. How the thing goes out seems completely open.

VfL and Marco Antwerpen go separate paths. This was announced by the Lower Saxony third division on Friday.
