Werder Bremen can fall back on captain Marco Friedl in the home game against FC Schalke 04.
The sports court of the German Football Association has reduced the suspension imposed on the Austrian from two championship games to one game, so that the defender is eligible to play again in the home game on Saturday evening (6:30 p.m. / Sky).
Friedl saw the red card in the 14th minute of the 2-0 defeat in Freiburg on October 22nd and was suspended for two games. Werder had lodged an objection to this and was successful.
