Soccer national player Lukas Nmecha has undergone surgery on his right ankle and had screws removed from a previous operation.
The attacker from Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg posted pictures from the hospital on the Internet one day after coming on as a substitute in the 5-2 win against Italy. “Recovery begins,” he wrote on Instagram.
Nmecha had an ankle operation in December last year and made his comeback in March. The 23-year-old striker scored eight goals in the Bundesliga and two goals in the Champions League for VfL last season.
