DFB-Elf jumps to 11th place in the FIFA world rankings – Brazil in front

June update

The German national team improved in the FIFA world rankings after the Nations League window in June and is now eleventh. Coach Hansi Flick’s eleven passed Mexico after three draws and a 5-2 win over Italy, as the world association published on Thursday. Brazil is still at the top ahead of Belgium. Argentina is new in third place, having passed world champions France. After four games without a win in the Nations League, the “Équipe Tricolore” had to give up their place on the podium.

Denmark, meanwhile, made a jump into the top 10 after winning three out of four games in the last international match period. Mexico, on the other hand, fell out of the top ten nations with the most points. The last FIFA ranking was published in March and was decisive for the seeding list for the World Cup draw in Qatar, which takes place from November 21st to December 18th. Germany meets Spain, Japan and Costa Rica in the preliminary round in the emirate. The Spaniards are sixth, while Japan in 24th and Costa Rica in 34th are well behind the German team.
