DFB Cup: Quarter-finals will not be drawn until February 19th

The games in the round of 16 of the DFB Cup run until February 8th. The fans will have to wait for the draw for the next round.

The lots will be drawn on February 19 (5:10 p.m. / ZDF). This means that the draw will only take place eleven days after the last round of 16 game.

The draw is made from just one pot, and there is no amateur club that would be entitled to automatic home rights.

The winners of the round of 16 qualify for the quarterfinals:

  • 1.FC Union Berlin
  • RB Leipzig – TSG Hoffenheim
  • 1. FSV Mainz 05 – Bayern Munich
  • SV Sandhausen – SC Freiburg
  • Eintracht Frankfurt – SV Darmstadt 98
  • 1. FC Nuremberg – Fortuna Dusseldorf
  • VfL Bochum – Borussia Dortmund

Final in Berlin in June

After the draw, the teams still need two wins before the final in Berlin. The quarterfinals will take place in early April.

  • Quarterfinals: 4th/5th April 2023
  • Semifinals: 2nd/3rd May 2023
  • Final in Berlin: June 3, 2023

DFB Cup: More money than ever before
