Fans vent their anger at the DFB at the cup final with banners and chants. What are the reasons for the protest in the Olympic Stadium.

The fans of FC Bayern Munich and VfB Stuttgart expressed their displeasure with the German Football Association with a collective protest. The umbrella organization was denigrated with chants and banners in the first minutes of the second half of the DFB Cup final in Berlin’s Olympic Stadium.

At the end of the obviously concerted action, both fan camps set off massive pyrotechnics, causing the game to be interrupted immediately after Harry Kane gave Bayern a 1-0 lead. Due to the smoke, referee Sven Jablonski was only able to restart the game after a few minutes.

A huge banner with a crossed out DFB coat of arms previously wandered around the lower ring of the stadium. The words plaintiff, judge, executioner could be read on it. In addition to the high ticket prices for the game, the protest was directed against what the fans saw as the association’s rigid jurisprudence in the event of fan crimes.
