Dex Lageman from Buinen has won prizes during The Best Social Awards. These are the awards for the best content creators on social media.
10-year-old Dex won in the Best Newcomer category. The youngster is popular on Instagram and TikTok with his taste tests. Dex tastes all kinds of special flavors such as sour pickle candy, egg ball chips and oliebollen with dry sausage.
The concept of his videos is simple: Dex tastes something and immediately gives a grade. This resonates with his audience, because his number of followers on Instagram quickly grew to more than 100,000.
That was also where the problem lay. You have to be 13 years old on Instagram, so Meta – the company behind Instagram – deleted his account. His mother immediately contacted the company to have the decision reversed, but so far without success.
The family therefore created a family account under the name @lagemannetjesofficial, which is managed by Dex’s parents. Dex now has more than 45,000 followers on TikTok.
