The first reports of the fire on Louis Pasteurstraat came in just after 11 p.m. The flames spread from the apartment and the fire brigade shortly afterwards scaled up from a medium fire to a large fire. A ladder truck was also deployed.
Due to the heavy smoke development, it was recommended to close windows and switch off ventilation systems.
The fire was extinguished after about twenty minutes, after which the fire brigade checked surrounding homes. According to the safety region, no one was injured. It is not known what caused the fire.
