For a long time, Leipzig star Yan Diomande was considered a transfer candidate for FC Bayern. The topic is now considered ticked off – or is it? A transfer insider says: The German record champions could still play a role in poker. The big catch: The Saxons have set a record internal fee for their offensive star.

Will FC Bayern get involved in the poker for Leipzig star Yan Diomande again? After it has been said several times in the last few days that the German record champions no longer play a role in the bidding for the 19-year-old Ivorian, the renowned English transfer insider Ben Jacobs is now once again linking the offensive star with a move to Säbener Straße.

In an interview with the Liverpool fan portal “Born ‘n Red”, Jacobs emphasized that the Reds and Paris Saint-Germain were the clear favorites in the poker for the player, but also said: “We have to look at FC Bayern with a small eye because Bayern’s focus was Anthony Gordon – and Gordon went to FC Barcelona. So Bayern is still looking for someone.”

FC Bayern would have to pay a record fee

The difference between Bayern and the other interested parties, however, is that Diomande would be more likely to play on the left offensive side in Munich. “Liverpool and PSG see him more on the right side. And the player prefers to play on the right side. So Liverpool and PSG are the favorites,” said Jacobs.

In addition to the question of position, there is another catch that can hardly be overcome for FC Bayern: the transfer fee. According to the broadcaster “ESPN”, RB Leipzig has now set an internal pain limit for the player. This is therefore 130 million euros. It is said that the Saxons would only be willing to enter into negotiations with an offer of this magnitude.

It is more than unlikely that FC Bayern will agree to this, after all, the Munich team has never spent such a lot of money on a player in their long history.
