Despite many candidates, four in ten recruits do not get the end of the army training

Last year, four in ten candidates did not reach the end of their army training. This is according to figures that Open VLD and Vlaamse Belang requested from Defense, writes Het Nieuwsblad on Saturday. The news is also in the other Mediahuis newspapers. However, for each vacancy there are “sometimes to four candidates,” said General Frederik Vansina, the Chief of Staff of the Belgian Army, Thursday.
