Despite a botched start to the season: Nottingham Forest extends trainer Steve Cooper

Quote from Jiannis_HSV

I can’t understand that now. Marinakis, got the third coach at his other club Olympiakos in two months and in Nottigham, where he spent so much money to get a lot of players, where you are last and with a bad performance, you then extend with the Coaches by 2025.

This is probably mainly due to the fact that Cooper is the hottest iron of the British coaches on the level behind Howe and Potter and has built up something big both at the Swans and at the City Ground after some time. Thankfully, the investor here seems to be trusting enough people with expertise to appreciate Cooper’s work and see that he’s accomplished something really great over the past 12 months. You can give him some time to form a team out of the new players. So far they are only three points behind on 15th place, so nothing is lost and you don’t have to panic. Especially since they already lost against City and Tottenham, which was to be expected.

Of course, the truth is that you have already played against Bournemouth, Leicester and Fulham and lost all games with at least three goals conceded. At least 4-6 points should have been scored by the Arsenal game on October 30th, otherwise it will be tight for Cooper at the latest by the World Cup.
