There were some changes in star investor Carl Icahn’s portfolio in the third quarter of 2023.
Star investor Carl Icahn once again looks back on a few turbulent months. The allegations against the stock market professional’s holding company, Icahn Enterprises, of operating a pyramid scheme continued to weigh on the holding company’s share price, which also caused Icahn’s own assets to suffer significantly. This can also be seen in the portfolio value of the stock market expert. While the portfolio still had assets under management of $15.484 billion in the second quarter of 2023, this fell to just $12.080 billion in the third quarter.
However, these assets still greatly exceed $100 million, which is why Icahn is required to file a 13F report with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission at the end of each quarter disclosing his investments.
Accordingly, there were some changes in Carl Icahn’s portfolio in the third quarter of 2023. Among other things, the star investor took advantage of his own company’s price weakness to stock up on additional stocks.
The following ranking lists the top 10 investments according to their value in the past quarter. Only stock investments are taken into account for the ranking. The ranking is as of September 30, 2023.
