Depeche Mode: Rumors about new album and tour for 2023

Depeche Mode fans are looking forward to October 4th, 2022: there will be an important announcement at a press conference in Berlin from 1 p.m. The band is deliberately holding back on details, but of course there are plenty of rumors and speculations about the future. An article by the Online magazine “Clash”which is also currently being actively shared by fan pages on Facebook.

Depeche Mode: Rumors about album and tour

The article claims that Depeche Mode had already announced at an event in Berlin that a new album could be out and the band could go on a world tour in 2023 – so it could be a case of accidentally published text too quickly. Accordingly, the 15th album is called “Memento Mori” and will be released in spring 2023. Regarding the tour, the article states that a few North American dates are planned from March 23, 2023 (reportedly including Madison Square Garden in New York, the United Center in Chicago and the Kia Forum in Los Angeles) before the band going on a stadium tour through Europe from May 16, 2023. There is even a reference to a presale ticket page for an alleged show at London’s Twickenham Stadium on June 17, 2023, but the link to this is currently inactive. A show is also said to be planned in the Berlin Olympic Stadium, as well as concerts in Paris and Milan.

Whether these rumors are confirmed and Depeche Mode 2023 will actually be on tour for the 19th time will be seen on October 4th at 1 p.m. Fans can follow the announcement via the live stream on Facebook.
