On Tuesday, Depeche Mode announced two big things at a press conference in Berlin: The band, which has consisted of Martin Gore and Dave Gahan since the death of Andrew Fletcher, is currently recording a new album called MEMENTO MORI, which is due to be released in March 2023 . And with that they will go on a big world tour.
The British synthpop legends want to perform in 41 cities and play 42 concerts. In Germany, Austria and Switzerland dates in Leipzig, Munich, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf (2 concerts), Berlin, Bern and Klagenfurt have been fixed. Regular presale starts on October 6, 2022, Info here.
Now that at least the exclusive presale started on Wednesday at 10 a.m., we also know how expensive the tickets will be: When we tried to buy tickets for the show in the Berlin Olympic Stadium, the prices in ten different categories ranged between 49.25 euros and 147 euros, not including VIP or early entry packages. Those who get tickets for the most expensive category will be in the front of three different standing areas, i.e. closer to the band than others. The cheapest category includes seats that are further away and may have obstructed views.
