This time too there was a birthday serenade – the person celebrated was Peter Gordeno.
On Tuesday (February 20th) Depeche Mode gave their third and final Berlin concert as part of the “Memento Mori” tour in the Mercedes-Benz Arena. The most beautiful impressions and the set list of the evening can be found here.

“Somebody” replaced “Heaven”, “Speak To Me” was once again in the set, and the encore block started with “Waiting For The Night”. A “Happy Birthday To You” couldn’t be missed: this time the group sang the song for Peter Gordeno. The live keyboardist celebrated his 60th birthday in Berlin.

Depeche Mode started the encore part with “Waiting For The Night” including piano accompaniment. This was followed by the birthday serenade for Gordeno. The show concluded four songs later with “Personal Jesus”.
